Please note that prints from different publishers have different color sets and degrees of detail and sharpness. This print is taken from a very high-resolution photo of an old reproduction. Its colors are adjusted to match the most common published version. The lines do not have the pen and ink sharpness you would expect from a digital image of the original. The details are softer and come from the colors. The painting can be jarring when compared to Parrish’s blue paintings. The reds are deep reds against salmon pink masonry and the water and trees have nearly electric yellows and purple highlights.
Solid wood frame covered with a thin layer of gold-colored gesso. Glass cover. Cork leveling button. Wall hanging or tabletop. Front is excellent, new, store shelf quality as in photo. Back is black paper over recycled wood. Slight flaws on the backing do not affect the front of the frame and allow for an expensive presentation at an economical price.
